Working together as a community our school is proud to partner with local and national charity/non-profit groups with the goal making a difference in the lives of others. Our school-wide service learning projects gives our students and families a chance to contribute their time and effort in helping other children and families in need. A few of our partnerships include:
Second Harvest Food Bank
Trick-or Treat for Unicef
The Children's Fund of San Mateo County Holiday Giving Tree
St. Vincent De Paul Books 4 Hope
Our Student Council has been busy in action leading two important service learning projects this past month for our student body.
Our elementary school partnered with UNICEF, a national campaign that empowers students and teachers to make the world a better place for children in need. Belmont Oaks Academy students collected $592.41 for the UNICEF "Trick or Treat So All Can Eat" fund.
Our school community also joined Second Harvest Food Bank by collecting cans and coins to help families in need in our local community. MMBOA families donated 1,496 cans of food and $139.11 in cash.
Thank you to our students and families for making a difference in the lives of others, both near and far!
