🍀✨ Leprechaun Traps & Big Dreams in First Grade! ✨🍀
A wave of creative energy, glitter, and gold-colored paper took over the first-grade classrooms at Belmont Oaks this week as our students set out on a mission to catch a leprechaun! 🎩🌈 Using shoeboxes, clever designs, and lots of imagination, they built intricate traps in hopes of capturing one of folklore’s most elusive tricksters.
After their trapping adventures, students documented their work in detailed reports—complete with drawings, descriptions, and reflections on their leprechaun-catching efforts. While no leprechauns were officially caught (they’re very quick, after all!), our young scientists had plenty of near misses and hopeful anticipation for next time!
We loved seeing their enthusiasm and creativity—and they were so proud to share their work with their 3rd-grade buddies! 👏 The hallways were decorated with their masterpieces on St. Patrick’s Day, a reminder that even the smallest scientists can dream big and have a little fun along the way! 🌟
Who knows? Maybe next year, these clever first graders will finally outsmart the leprechauns! Until then, the search for the pot of gold continues… 🌈✨
