At Belmont Oaks Academy, students learn science with real scientists. Through our partnership with Science by Scientists, visiting scientists lead engaging, hands-on investigations that complement our classroom science curriculum and bring scientific concepts to life.

Students take an active role in the process: asking questions, making predictions, testing ideas, and using observations to explain what they discover. Working directly with scientists gives children opportunities to learn how scientists think, approach problems, and explore the world.

These experiences connect classroom learning with scientific practice while encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Students discover that science is something they can participate in—and that their own questions can lead to meaningful discoveries.

Maker Space

Our K–2 Maker Space gives children opportunities to turn ideas into something they can build and test. Through creative challenges using a variety of materials, students work together, solve problems, and improve their designs. They learn that revising an idea is part of making something work.

Our technology program provides our students with the tools they need to be 21st century learners.

The technology skills students gain now will forever give them an edge when it comes to communication and creativity. The quality of the educational software that is available to children in primary school is at an all time high. Whether it's typing programs or multimedia presentation software, these skills will forever give them the upper hand in a competitive technology based world.

Coding for All!

Our students are introduced to the magic of coding. Using the award-winning Code.org curriculum (K-5), students will explore the world of computers through interactive tutorials and engaging unplugged activities.

My approach has always been holistic using fun, joy, and creativity to inspire students to open up to learning the fundamentals of vocal expression and music.

Our music program is designed to ignite your child's love of music and help them discover their unique voice. Under the guidance of our talented music specialist, Ms. Shannon Bryant, students will embark on a joyful journey of musical exploration.
